Spin-orbit interaction of light is manifested by the interplay and mutual conversion between light’s spin and orbital angular momentum. It is inherent in all basic optical processes, and that it plays a crucial role in nano-optics, photonics, and plasmonics. The main phenomena include: spin-Hall effect in optical interfaces, spin-controlled generation of structured light field, and spin-dependent effects in scattering, strongly focusing, and robust spin-directional coupling via evanescent near fields. Here, I will first give a brief review on the recent advances of the main spin-orbit interaction phenomena, and then introduce some of my recent work.

报告人简介:

凌晓辉,复旦大学物理学系博士后。2012年在湖南大学获得博士学位,并到衡阳师范学院工作至今,任副教授。期间,曾先后在深圳大学、新加坡国立大学从事博士后研究和做访问学者。

研究方向包括光的自旋-轨道相互作用、光的自旋霍尔效应、结构光场的产生和调控等,近年来在Reports on Progress in PhysicsLight: Science & ApplicationsAPLPRAOE等国际学术期刊上发表论文20余篇,被引700余次。以子方向负责人的身份参与国家重点研发计划,并主持国家自然科学基金、湖南省自然科学基金“杰出青年科学基金”等科研课题。
