报告人简介：

Dr. Zhiyong Shao received his B.S. from Jiangxi Agriculture University in 1999; M.S. degree in Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, Shanghai Institutes of Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2002; Ph.D from Iowa State University in 2010.

Dr. Shao has broad research interests. He worked on molecular evolution and phylogenetics during his MS studies. During his Ph.D. work, he studied the function and regulation of hypoxia inducible factor using a powerful genetic model organism C. elegans. Dr. Shao is now a post-doc at Yale School Medicine and he is interested in how the nerve system is wired and maintenance.
