Patterning of organic micro-nano single-crystal arrays

To address the problems of small size and random growth orientation and position of organic semiconductor single crystals, we focus on the use of innovative strategies such as surface microstructure-confined growth and drag coating to achieve ordered and controlled patterning of large-area organic micro-nano single-crystal arrays, laying the foundation for their application in large-scale flexible electronic devices.

Organic micro-nano single crystal materials and device surface/interface modulation

Develop new strategies for the passivation of the surface/interface defects of organic micro-nano single crystals to effectively improve device ideality and air stability; break through the Boltzmann limit of organic field-effect transistors by regulating the energy levels of organic single crystal/electrodecontacts and the defect statesof organic single crystal/ dielectric layer interfaces; effectively reduce device power consumption and improve device amplification efficiency.

High-performance integrated field-effect transistors based on organic micro-nano single crystals

Based on the patterning and large-area ordered growth of organic micro-nano single crystals, explore their application in the scalable integration of organic single-crystal electronic and optoelectronic devices, including organicintegrated logic circuits, phototransistor imaging, AMOLED active matrix driver circuits and other high-performance single-crystal devices and circuits.

Flexible wearable and bionic electronic devices based on organic micro-nano single crystals

Develop new electronic and optoelectronic devices based on organic micro-nano single-crystal materials, explore the application of organic single-crystal materials and devices in flexible wearable electronics, and further expand the application of organic micro-nano single-crystal devices in frontier fields such as health monitoring, bionic electronics, and artificial visual neural networks.

Organic Single Crystal Optoelectronic Materials and Devices Laboratory of Soochow University was headed by Professor Jiansheng Jie, who was funded by National Distinguished Young Scholar Award. The laboratory has established an interdisciplinary research team across materials, physics, chemistry, information and other disciplines, and we are mainly engaged in the cutting-edge researches including the controllable preparation and performance modulation of organic single crystal optoelectronic materials, and the construction of high-performance optoelectronic devices. After years of continuous in-depth cultivation, the laboratory has established a number of subdivided research fields such as organic semiconductor micro/nano single crystals, organic flexible wearable electronics, organic single crystal light emitting and laser devices, organic bionics and smart sensors, and has achieved a series of innovative research findings. The laboratory welcomes young talents who are interested in the research of organic semiconductor materials and devices to join us. Let’s make joint efforts to build the laboratory into one of the most influential research bases in this field at home and abroad.
