Each unique structured Masters of Science (MSc) project is carried out over three years.
Within this time you will be guided through your research project with the support of your supervisors from both SU and RCSI.
You will have a range of resources, research development opportunities and training at your disposal during your structured MSc, including core and optional modules as part of our research development training, access to the state-of-the-art laboritories and abundant literature resources, and research seminars and symposia to disseminate your research.
1. Project proposal
With the help of your supervisors, you will submit a comprehensive project proposal, which will help you to form a solid plan and kick-start your research.
2. Mid-term examination
An oral exam given during the middle of the Master program makes sure your research project is on track.
3. Submit your thesis
Your thesis will be reviewed by an external group of experts.
4. Thesis defense
If the thesis is deemed of sufficient quality, you will give a thesis defense.
