报告题目:Lead-Free Halide Perovskites for Optoelectronics and Spintronics

Lead halide perovskites have shown superior optoelectronic properties. The power conversion efficiencies of perovskite solar cells have risen from 3.8 to 25.5% within only a few years, making perovskites the fastest-advancing technology in photovoltaic history. In addition, we have recently reached a record quantum efficiency of 21.6% for perovskite light-emitting diodes (LEDs), demonstrating their great potential in light-emitting applications. However, the toxicity of lead and the material instability are two key issues limiting large-scale application of this emerging technology. In this talk, we will focus on several key challenges facing the development of lead-free perovskites for solar cells, detectors and our approaches to address them, including material modification, bandgap engineering, device optimization, photophysics and device physics. Additionally, we find that our lead-free perovskite films also have great potential on smart windows and temperature sensors, with excellent thermal and environmental stability. We further develop a new generation of magnetic semiconductor based on lead-free double perovskites, which will open new doors for emerging spintronic devices.
