报告摘要:The development of perovskite-based tandem solar cells represents a promising strategy to enhance the performance of traditional photovoltaics beyond the single- junction Shockley-Queisser limit. This talk will deliver the rationale behind wide-bandgap perovskite design for the different tandems, explain how the thin-film- based tandem solar cells reached high efficiencies, and unveil the potential of this technology. The advances reported herein show that it is possible – and powerful – to marry the traditional PVs and perovskite technologies in tandems.

 

个人简介:

A person in a suit and tie  Description automatically generated Yi Hou is a Presidential Young Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He was appointed the Head of the Perovskite-based Multijunction Solar Cell Group at the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) in September 2020. Yi obtained his Ph.D. degree at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany. His postdoctoral training at the University of Toronto was mainly focused on perovskite photovoltaics. He has several visiting scholar experiences at various universities overseas, such as the University of Oxford; EPFL; Australia National University; and Stanford University.

 

Yi was named one of the Innovators Under 35 (Asia Pacific) by MIT Tech Review for his work in developing record-efficient perovskite-based tandem solar cells. Clarivate Analytics included Yi in the list of Highly Cited Researchers in the field of Cross-Field (2022). Yi’s research has been cited more than 8,800 times and has been published in Science (x3), Nature Energy (x4), etc. Yi serves as Editor for IEEE Journal of Photovoltaics and journal peer reviewer for Science, Nature, Nature Energy, Nature Communications, etc. He is also the conference organizer and chair of ACS Fall (Atlanta  2021, Chicago 2022, San Francisco 2023).
