On the afternoon of November 29th, European Academy of Sciences Fellow Shi Yufang from Soochow University was invited to Suzhou Industrial Park Xinghai Experimental Senior High School to give a special lecture on “Self and Non Self: Fundamentals of Immune Recognition” to senior three students

Shi Yufang discussed the issue of choosing a major with students, encouraged them to choose a good direction and do well in themselves, welcoming them to choose Soochow University where they could achieve their own lives. Taking the COVID-19 as the starting point, he introduced the defense mechanism of the body, the types of immune cells, the immune process and the importance of immune balance to students.

Shi Yufang encouraged students to work hard and pay attention to progress of biotechnology, and sent a message to students to have a scientific dream and make contributions to the research on human diseases.
