College of Nano Science & Technology

College of Nano Science & Technology (CNST) is a college jointly established by Soochow University, Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) and University of Waterloo (Canada), aiming at providing high-quality education in nano science and nanotechnology to accommodate the demands of ever-accelerated updating of science and technology. CNST was founded in December 2010, and was soon approved as one of the 17 National Pilot Colleges by the Ministry of Education in October 2011, pioneering in the promotion of higher education transformation in China. 


The faculty members of CNST have strong educational and interdisciplinary research backgrounds in chemistry, physics, materials science, biomedical sciences and/or electronic engineering. CNST offers bachelor degree programs in nano materials & technology, master degree programs in materials science and engineering, chemistry, biology & physics and Ph.D. degree programs in engineering, chemistry & physics. Currently, there are 847 students in the college, including 421 undergraduates, 340 master students and 86 Ph.D. candidates.
