报告摘要：
After two big efforts in MPEG for multi-view video coding (MVC) and 3D video coding (3DV), MPEG has started its third activity for free-viewpoint TV (FTV) since August 2013. The current MPEG FTV standardization targets three application scenarios: super multi-view displays, integral photography, and free navigation. All of these new applications require technological advances beyond capabilities of the current MPEG standards. In this lecture, we will discuss MPEG activities for 3D video coding. After a brief introduction to 3D video formats, we review the history of MPEG 3D video coding standards: MVC and 3DV. Then, the current MPEG activities for 3D video coding will be discussed with its target applications.
报告人简介：
张秀兰 中山大学中山眼科中心教授、主任医师，博士生导师，临床研究中心主任，青光眼科副主任。中华医学会眼科分会全国神经眼科学组委员、全国青光眼学组秘书。
在中山大学中山眼科中心从事眼科学临床、教学、科研工作27年。曾在美国工作近四年。对眼科常见病尤其青光眼专业的诊治积累了丰富的经验。当选2014年度世界最有影响力眼科人物100强（中国大陆仅两名眼科学者入选）。至今在国内外眼科权威杂志发表论著200余篇（SCI收录论著80余篇，中华中国系列80余篇）。专著《图解临床青光眼诊治》，主译《儿童青光眼共识》，另外参编7本著书。以第一主持人承担了22项科研课题（包括4项国家自然科学基金面上项目）。国家自然科学基金委员会评审专家。国家科技奖励评审专家。《中华医学杂志英文版》、《The Asia-Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology》、《中华眼科杂志》等多个杂志编委。《中华眼科杂志》英文审校。国内外十多个杂志审稿人。所在团队获2009年度教育部科技进步奖一等奖、2010年度国家科技进步二等奖。广东省省级眼科学精品课程主讲教师。唯一连续十年被评为中山眼科中心七年制、八年制英文教学优秀教师并获得奖励。目前培养硕士和博士研究生19名，其中13名获得国家优秀研究生国家奖学金。在临床、教学、科研中发挥骨干作用。
